Final preparations are under way here for the annual convention of the Mississippi Temple Sisterhoods, to convene October 29 for a two-day session. Mrs. Maurice Steinfield of St. Louis, Mo., president of the National Federation of Temple Sisterhoods, will be guest of honor and chief speaker.
Mrs. C. C. King, head of the local organization, will welcome the delegates to Jackson. Miss Sara Marks, former state president, of Meridian, will respond.
While election of officers for the ensuing year will occupy chief interest during the second day of the meeting, attention for a while will be diverted to honoring of Mrs. A. H. Schwartz of this city, organizer of the state body. Mrs. L. L. Switzer of Vicksburg, president, will preside at all business sessions.
