Another Soviet Jew has been singled out by the Soviet Union for a long prison term on charges of having “speculated in gold coins,” according to a Moscow dispatch received here today.
The Jew is Usher I. Reznik, of Moldavia, near the Rumanian border. His trial, conviction and sentencing to eight years’ imprisonment were reported in the newspaper Sovetskaya Moldavia. The Soviet court claimed Reznik had been a member of a “big merchant family” in Bessarabia.
