A solemn ceremony took place today at the office here of Prime Minister David Ben Gurion on the occasion of the publication of “Scrolls of Fire,” an anthology containing the writings of 194 men and women who were killed fighting in the War of Liberation.
A number of parents whose sons and daughters fell in the Arab-Israel war were presented with copies of the volume by the Prime Minister. Brig. Yigal Yadin, Israel Chief of Staff, who also took part in the ceremony, told the parents: “Only those who know how to live for an idea, know how to die for it.”
