A recommendation that persons seeking employment with the City of Winnipeg should not be asked their country of birth and nationality was adopted by the city personnel and legislation committee, and is to be presented for final approval shortly. The “Free Press,” editorializing on the recommendation, noted that there was no valid reason for City Council’s objection to it.
