The Second United States Congress against War and Fascism, which will convene here September 28, will be open to the public.
The Congress will attend a mass rally at the Coliseum on September 28, and will continue its sessions at the Ashland Boulevard Auditorium on September 29 and 30. Four thousand delegates are expected.
BRIDGES AND ROSENFELD TO SPEAK AT CONGRESS
Harry Bridges, leader of the San Francisco general strike, will be a speaker at the second Congress against War and Fascism, to be held in Chicago September 28, 29 and 30, it was announced in New York yesterday.
Other prominent speakers scheduled to appear include Dr. Kurt Rosenfeld, former Prussian Minister of Justice; Dr. Harry F. Ward, chairman of the American League Against War and Fascism; General Victor Yakhontoff, ex-Czarist General and author; Roger Baldwin, director of the American Civil Liberties Union; “Mother” Ella Reeve Bloor, militant farm leader, and Robert Morss Lovett, chairman of the League for Industrial Democracy and professor of English at the University of Chicago.
