The women’s division of the American Committee Against War and Fascism met Friday night at their headquarters, 55 West Forty-second street, to plan a reception for the Earl and Countess Listowel and Gaston Bergery, who will arrive in New York June 23.
The visitors will participate in the public inquiry into all phases of Fascist oppression in Germany which will open here June 26. The Earl of Listowel, who is a member of the British House of Lords, recently made a survey in Germany of prisons and concentration camps under the Hitler regime. M. Bergery is executive secretary of the French Chamber of Deputies.
