Anti-German demonstrations in which German-Language newspapers were publicly burned and German-owned shops boycotted were reported today from two localities in Polish Pomerania.
Newspapers were burned in the central square of Poznan and inhabitants were asked not to buy these papers. In Torun, Polish organizations picketed German stores bearing signs reading: “Buy only from Poles” and “Do not buy from Germans.” Signs with similar inscriptions were pasted on windows of German shops.
