A marked increase in the number of complaints of discrimination in employment investigated by the Trades Advisory Council was reported here today by Maurice Orbach, its general secretary.
The council, which operates under the auspices of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, investigated 212 cases during the last two years as compared to a total of 159 in the three previous years. Lord Silkin, former Laborite minister, was elected president of the Council today at its annual meeting.
