A rise in anti-Jewish feeling in the Republic of Turkey as a result of the recent incident there when Jews held a demonstration protesting against the murder of a Jewish girl, Elsa Niego, by Osman Bey a Turkish officer, is reported in press despatches from Constantinople.
According to these despatches, the anti-Jewish movement in Turkey is spreading rapidly. The government is reported to have issued an order prohibiting Jews from entering the interior of the country.
Placards have been posted in Angora. Smyrna and Djancing, urging the population to break of business relations with Jews.
