Antisemitic excesses have taken place in the town of Nagy-Koeroes, about fifty miles from Budapest. The windows of the synagogue were smashed, and many Jewish houses were attacked. Big Jewish firms in the town, employing large numbers of workers, have closed down until the authorities are able to guarantee order. Ten rioters have been arrested.
