Tewfik Rashid Bey, Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs, assured Z. Aberson, representative of the Council of Jewish Rights here, that the restrictions prohibiting Jews from travelling in the interior of Turkey have already been abolished. These restrictions were, the Minister stated today, of a “preventative character.”

During the interview Tewfik Rashid Bey praised the intelligence and loyalty of Turkish Jews, “declaring that Turkey counts on their active cooperation for the welfare of our fatherland.”
