Anti-Jewish riots have broken cut anew in Barlad and Husi, Jewish students at these places having been routed and three injured.

In consequence of the recurrence of outrages and of the-fear of attacks in the villages, military order has been proclaimed in parts of Moldavia, the local police being reinforced by special patrols from the cities.

Deputy Lupu, Peasant Party leader, declared after visiting the scenes of the disturbances, that there are indications of a recrudescence of the pogrom wave of 1907. The convention of the Union of Roumanian Jews, scheduled to be held January 19, 20 and 21, has been postponed as a result of the anti-Semitic outbreaks.
