A pledge of “freedom and equality to all creeds in a liberated Rumania” was given today by the former Rumanian ambassador Tiles, in a letter addressed to the World Jewish Congress on behalf of the Free Rumanian movement which he heads.
The ex-ambassador, whose movement is not recognized by liberal elements in America promises in his letter that the anti-Jewish regulations now existing in Rumania will be abolished after the downfall of the present regime there. He speaks of Jewish emigration from Rumania which will be on a voluntary basis.
