Steps to organize the boycott of German goods in the United States were discussed at a meeting of the Medical Division of the American League for the Defence of Jewish Rights, held at the Hotel Astor Wednesday evening. More than 250 representatives of the medical, dental, pharmaceutical and optometrist organizations were present and participated in the discussions. An executive committee of 15 members was chosen to conduct the work of the group.
The speakers at the meeting included Dr. A. Coralnik, president of the League; Dr. I. W. Held, noted stomach specialist, Dr. A. J. Rongy and Dr. Benjamin Dubovsky
A resolution was unanimously adopted to boycott all German medicines, chemicals, drugs, dental and surgical supplies.
