The first Christian Front meeting to be held here since 1941 ended last night in the arrest of Homer Maertz, notorious Chicago anti-Semite, who was distributing a pamphlet entitled “Jewish Ritual Murder.” The charge against Maertz was that he was “distributing false, malicious, vicious, inflammatory literature calculated to cause a breach of the peace.”
Isadore Ginsberg, the complainant, was also arrested when a friend of Maertz filed a disorderly conduct charge against him. The charge arose out of several outbreaks which occurred during the meeting between adherents of Maertz and indignant passers-by.
