Anti-semitic Attacks Break out in Austrian, Hungarian and Polish Universities

Scores of Jewish and non-Jewish students were injured today when nationalist students attempted to break up a gathering of Jewish students on the campus of the University of Lemberg called to lay plans for the organization of a Jewish Academical Union. After almost an hour of fighting the police dispersed the students.

The trouble started when the nationalist students invaded the room in which the Jewish students were meeting and with no provocation attacked them and finally threw them out of the room. After burning proclamations and leaflets the anti-Semitic students launched a verbal attack on the dean of the University for permitting the Jewish students to assemble for the purpose that they did.
