THE COLLEGE OF COMMERCE CLOSED TODAY FOR AN INDEFINITE PERIOD AFTER NATIONALIST STUDENTS HAD THROWN A BLOCKADE AROUND IT AND BARRED JEWISH STUDENTS FROM ENTERING. THE BLOCKADE WAS DECIDED ON TO COUNTERACT REFUSAL OF JEWISH STUDENTS TO OCCUPY THE GOVERNMENT-SANCTIONED “GHETTO” BENCHES IN CLASSROOMS.

PROTESTS AGAINST THE “GHETTO” BENCHES DO NOT MAKE THE SLIGHTEST IMPRESSION AND SERVE ONLY TO FORCE POLES TO INTENSIFY THE FIGHT AGAINST JEWS, DECLARES AN EDITORIAL IN WARSZAWSKI DZIENNIK NARODOWY, NATIONALIST NEWSPAPER.
