John Repassy, editor of an anti-Semitic weekly paper, has been sentenced by the penal court to a fortnight’s imprisonment for an inciting article attacking the Jews-Repassy’s article had alleged that the Jews were governing Christians despite the fact that the government was Christian. He had also charged that houses and fields were gradually passing into Jewish hands.
In pronouncing the sentence, the judge said that the penalty was comparatively light but he took into consideration the editor’s ignorance. He had had only an elementary school education.
