A demonstration of protest by young Frenchmen greeted the showing in Vichy of the anti-Semitic Nazi propaganda film, “Jud Suss” it was revealed in an article in the Vichy periodical “Esprit,” received here today by Free French circles.
“Esprit” in commenting upon the demonstration, expresses approval of the action by the French youths. “To excite the lowest, meanest passions against this unhappy race may be excellent propaganda, but it is neither fine nor worthy,” the Vichy magazine writes.
