Anti-Semitic inscriptions have begun to appear in the streets of Santa Fe, capital of the province of the same name, the Yiddish newspaper, “Yiddishe Zeitung,” reported here today. Santa Fe has a Jewish population of 4,00 among its 168,000 residents.
During the past year, headquarters of the anti-Semitic groups in Argentina have been transferred from Buenos Aires to Santa Fe. In addition to anti-Jewish slogans and cartoons scrawled on buildings in the city’s main thoroughfares anti-Semitic leaflets have also been distributed throughout the city, the paper reports.
