The anti-Semitic movement in Soviet Russia is increasing rapidly, according to Georg Popow, authority on Russian affairs, writing in the “Wiener Journal.”

Mr. Popow asserts that the anti-Semitic movement has been spreading greatly in Soviet Russia. It is particularly strong within the Stalin group. The dismissal of Jewish officials from Soviet institutions continues and even membership in the Communist Party is being closed to Jews. The project of a “Jewish republic” is not to be taken seriously. It is intended merely as propaganda for a Soviet loan and to win the sympathy of Jewish bankers, Popow states.
