The prohibited National Socialist Party is still in existence in Berlin, the investigations carried out by the police in connection with the arrest of 450 National Socialists on their arrival from Nuremburg where they had been taking part in a Hitlerist parade, revealed.
The police searched the homes of twenty-six leading members of the Organization. A search was also carried out in the building where the prohibited party formerly had its offices. Much important material of an incriminating character was found, including receipts for membership subscriptions, which show that the organization is still in existence despite the Government prohibition.
JEWISH CENTERS TO CELEBRATE ‘CONSTITUTION DAY’
The Jewish Welfare Board is taking steps for a widespread observance of Constitution Day on September 17th, when the 140th anniversary of the adoption of the constitution of the United States will be celebrated.
Constituent societies of the Board have been requested to arrange appropriate exercises, and for their guidance the Welfare Board has prepared a bulletin containing suggestions for a Constitution Day program, including songs, slides, motion pictures, and copies of selections in prose and verse.
The American flag will be displayed from all Jewish Community Center buildings on that day.
