Simultaneously with the release of numerous Endek rioters who had been arrested for participation in the Lemberg excesses, a Jewish clerk, Moses Grinkraut, has been sentenced to two months’ imprisonment for an alleged attack on Endek students.
It is significant that Grinkraut was arrested, at the request of the Chief of Police, immediately on the pronouncement of sentence, while no such request was made in connection with the sentences passed on the rioting Endek students. In the latter cases execution of sentence was not immediately carried out.
