At Debreczen, a city on the Roumanian-Hungarian border, anti-Semitic student riots broke out at the Agricultural school. Christian students prevented the Jewish students from attending classes.

The rector of the Agricultural school left for Budapest to consult government authorities as to the measures to be taken to restore order.
