A painted sign in foot-high letters, reading “Get Out, Jew,” was discovered today on the home of Mayor Meyer C. Ellenstein. Another message, “Jew, get out or else,” was painted on the sidewalk in front of the house. Mayor Ellenstein said he had received several anonymous letters in similar vein.
