The Government of Schleswig-Holstein banned today the-Nationalist Students Union. This is the seventh state in West Germany to ban the neo-Nazi student organization since the rash of swastika daubings touched off by the desecration of the Cologne synagogue on Christmas Eve in 1959.
In announcing the action, the Interior Ministry said that the organization had engaged in subversive neo-Nazi activities and that the group’s anti-Semitic publication, “Studenten und Volk” had been confiscated. It was also announced that chapters in various institutions of higher learning in Schleswig-Holstein had been dissolved.
