Anti-Semitism is one of the leading issues Russia has to grapple with as it confronts its ongoing economic crisis, said U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. Albright, who is visiting Russia for two days, offered this assessment during a meeting with lawmakers, religious leaders and representatives of human rights groups. Albright also said the United States is looking closely at how Russia handles the issues of religious freedom and political extremism.
