Police Chief William H. Parker told the Los Angeles City Council today that anti-Semitism appeared to be the motive behind the bombing last week of the homes of two Protestant clergymen who were speaking at a meeting of the local American Jewish Congress group when the blasts took place.’
Chief Parker, in a report to the City Council, said that the police were pressing their search for the source of anti-Semitic leaflets found in front of Temple Sinai here, where the meeting took place. The leaflets, entitled “Know Your Enemy, ” pictured a star of David.
