While representatives of various veterans’ organizations, including the Jewish War Veterans of the United States, looked on, Mayor LaGuardia yesterday signed a resolution sponsored in the Board of Aldermen by Alderman Max Gross of the Bronx, asking Congress to take the profits out of war or to turn the munitions business over to the Federal Government.

Before signing the resolution, which will be forwarded immediately to Congress, the Mayor complimented Alderman Gross for championing the recommendation and denounced Communists who were holding a demonstration outside City Hall at the time.
