A pamphlet describing Zionism as an “attempt toward the colonization of an Arab country by Germanic and Slav elements” has been distributed by the Egyptian legation in Bucharest to the entire diplomatic corps here, it became known today. The pamphlet, entitled “The Zionist Question in Its Scientific Setting,” was first printed in Cairo in May, 1947, and reprinted in October, 1948.
In its 34 pages, the author, Mohammed Awad, asserts that the “Jews of Europe are of European origin, having the same racial descent as the peoples among whom they live” and that the “true indigenous peoples of Palestine are the Arabic-speaking inhabitants who probably include in their racial compound more of the blood of the ancient Israelites than can be found elsewhere.”
