JEWISH ORGANIZATIONS LAUNCHED A FUND-RAISING CAMPAIGN TODAY FOR THE ESTIMATED 81,000 JEWS IN GERMANY WHO WILL REQUIRE RELIEF THIS WINTER. JEWS ARE BARRED FROM PUBLIC RELIEF.

THE REICHSVERTRETUNG DER JUDEN IN DEUTSCHLAND, JEWISH REPRESENTATIVE BODY, JOINED JEWISH COMMUNITIES AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS IN AN APPEAL WHICH POINTED OUT 82,000 JEWS WERE SUPPORTED LAST YEAR, REPRESENTING EVERY FIFTH JEW IN LARGE TOWNS AND EVERY FOURTH IN SMALL COMMUNITIES, WHILE THIS YEAR, WITH THE JEWISH POPULATION HAVING DECREASED 20,000, THE DEPENDENTS ON RELIEF DECREASed only 1,000.
