A delegation representing the Declarants League of New York today appealed to officials of the American Federation of Labor to support Senator Wads-worth’s and Congressman Perlman’s Bills to exempt thirty-five thousand wives and children of declarants from the quota.

Messrs. Robins and Walsh, the officials of the Federation with whom the conference was held, promised to take the matter up with President Green and the Executive Committee. It is understood that this was the first time that the matter was taken up direct with national Federation officials. All members of the delegation are members of unions and made their appeal in this capacity.

Senator Johnson, Chairman of the Senate Immigration Committee, will receive the delegation at noon today. The delegation consists of Paul Schochat. William Prinz, Morris Simon and Z. Balin.
