The sum of $147,700 has been raised by Jewish women in New York for German Jewish relief, it was announced yesterday at the final rally of the Women’s Division of the campaign of the United Jewish Appeal which was held at the home of Mrs. Joseph Stroock, 998 Fifth avenue.
Among the speakers were Mrs. Roger W. Straus, chairman of the Women’s Division; Harry Hershfield, noted newspaper cartoonist and radio commentator; Dr. Henry Moskowitz, Mrs. Stroock, Mrs. David E. Goldfarb, associate chairman of the Women’s Division, and Maurice Dreicer.
