An appeal was addressed to President Roosevelt today by Zadok Mendelsohn, a Polish legionnaire, asking the American president to instruct the United States consul in Warsaw to grant him an American visa.

The appeal points out that Mendelsohn’s four brothers are in America and are willing to guarantee his maintenance. “The Polish government has granted me a free foreign passport but the American consul in Warsaw is refusing me a visa,” the appeal says.
