Despite certain professorial opposition Professor S. Gruenter has been appointed to the chair of racial science recently created at the University of Jena by Dr. Frick, the Thuringian minister of education, whose anti-Semitic activities have been under fire in the German Reichstag. By negotiating with a number of professors inclined to support of the National Socialists, Dr. Frick was able to have Professor Gruenter’s appointment approved.
