Arab anti-Israel agitators revived the old ritual murder libel to frighten Arab parents in the village of Jabaliya, in the Gaza Strip, so that they would not send their children to school.
Yesterday, when the children were in the classroom, their parents came and hurriedly took them away. They told the teachers they had been told the Jews wanted to take the children’s blood. The teachers later made a house-to-house tour of the village to persuade the parents of the falsity of the report. Today, most of the children were back at school and others were expected tomorrow.
The village of Jabaliya was curfewed a week ago and four houses were demolished after saboteurs who had mined Israeli vehicles were traced to the village.
