Two armed Arabs were killed tody by Israeli border police after an Arab ambush on a police car fell through.
The attack took place in the border region in Central Israel. Two Sten guns, two pistols and a quantity of explosives were found on the bodies of the two Arabs. The police suffered no casualties.
A military spokesman revealed that two hand grenades were thrown into a home in the Jerusalem area by infiltrees from Jordan.
Two new Jewish settlements were yesterday established in Galilee, in an area previously inhabited only by Arabs. It is hoped that this development will not only open up a new area for Jewish settlement but may help end the infiltration of marauding bands from the neighboring states.
