Mohammed Fuheid, 24, a Palestinian Arab arrested at Heathrow Airport two months ago and charged with possession of arms and explosives, pleaded guilty in court today to possession of arms. But he denied charges involving possession of plastic explosives. Explosives, a pistol and ammunition were found in the false bottom of his suitcase when he arrived at Heathrow with a false passport. The trial will continue tomorrow.
The first of 16 volumes covering the complete works of the German-Jewish writer and poet Heinrich Heine, banned during the nazi era, has been published by Hoffmann and Campe, of Hamburg. The costly project is financed by the cities of Dusseldorf, where Heine was born, by Hamburg, the Cultural Ministry of North Rhine-Westphalia, the centre National de la Recherche Scientifique of Paris, and the German Research Society.
