A hail of bullets was the thanks a Jewish orange planter received today when he complied with an apparently friendly Arab’s request for a drink of water.
On receiving the drink, the Arab whipped out a revolver and fired four shots almost point-blank at the Jew, Y. Reinhard. Reinhard saved his life by falling to the ground, the bullets striking nearby trees. The Arab fled but was later arrested and will be tried under the new emergency regulations under which he faces death or life imprisonment.
