Arab Christians today agreed to participate in the proposed legislative council for Palestine, informing High Commissioner Wauchope of their decision in a memorandum in which they asked that four council seats be allotted to them. The memorandum suggests three of the four Arab Christian councillors be elected and one appointed.
The party of the Arab Christians decided recently to submit a separate memorandum when a conference at Nablus of six Arab parties failed to reach a unanimous decision on their attitude to the council.
