Strong pressure from many parts of the country is being brought to bear on the Arab Executive to call the members of the last (the seventh) Arab Congress to discuss what action the Arabs should take on the new British policy in Palestine. The failure of the various factions to agree on a unified program has thus far prevented the Arab Executive from taking a public stand for which it has been sharply criticized by all sections of the Arab press.
Meanwhile it is reported that the Arab Executive has already drafted its observations on the White Paper and they may be published tomorrow unless it is decided to await the action of a full meeting of the Executive. A delay may also be caused by the Executive’s desire to change the tone and contents of its observations in view of the government’s release of 1,500 certificates for Jewish immigrants under the labor schedule.
