Jewish quarters adjacent to Ramath Gen and Givat Hayim were attacked tonight by Arab gangs. The raiders were beaten off before they could injure any Jews.
The chief reason for the successful defense of the Jewish homes was the fact that Haganah scouts had spied the Arab maneuvers during daylight hours and warned the inhabitants what to expect. A similar attack was made on the colony of Birya at dawn by a group of unidentified gunmen who were also repulsed before they could do any damage.
