An Israeli road construction worker was shot and wounded in the West Bank town of Jenin by Arab gunmen who later fled with the victim’s revolver.
The victim, as Israeli Druse who was an employee of the Israeli public works department, was in the area working on a bypass road for Jewish settlements near Jenin.
He had entered a local grocery store Wednesday, when the two assailants opened fire. A Palestinian who was in the store at the time was also lightly wounded.
Security forces investigating the incident did not rule out terror as a motive.
Meanwhile, in the West Bank, three Palestinians stole the weapon of an Israeli civilian guarding the entrance to the settlement of Kedumim.
According to the guard, the three sprayed him with tear gas and stole his M-16 rifle. The army was investigating.
