Shakib Arslaan, the Arab representative in Geneva, today insisted that he has reached an agreement with Mussolini “from which the Arabs and the Moslems in Palestine and Syria will benefit” in the event of a new world war in which England and France may be involved.
This statement by Shakib Arslaan is a reply to an official communique issued this week by the Foreign Office in Rome to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, categorically denying that Mussolini has concluded a secret pact with Arab leaders to help them rid Palestine of British domination in the event of war.

The Arab representative in Geneva, in his statement today, discloses the alleged details of his conversation with Mussolini and takes issue with the denial from Rome. He relates that on February 15, 1934, he visited Mussolini and submitted to him three memorandums, on Palestine, Syria and Tripoli.
