Bernard Joseph, legal adviser to the Jewish Agency for Palestine, interviewed Major-General Robert H. Haining, commander-in-chief of British forces in the Holy Land, while Fakhri bey Nashashibi, acting head of the moderate Arab National Defense Party, saw High Commissioner Sir Harold A. MacMichael.
