A delegation of Arab leaders today accepted an invitation of the British Colonial Office to go to London for a conference on the proposed Palestine representative legislative council. They will arrive there in a few weeks.
High Commissioner Sir Arthur Grenfell Wauchope, in transmitting the invitation to them, affirmed that proposed restrictions on immigration and sale of Arabs’ lands would also be considered at the parley. Final decision on major questions concerning the council rests with the Colonial Office.
The delegation which Sir Arthur received today included Ragheb Bey Nashashibi, ex-mayor of Jerusalem; Grand Mufti Hal Amin el Husseini, Yacoub Khussein, leader of the Arab Youth Congress Party; Abu Khadra and Abdul Sallah.
