The Arab League is preparing for a major meeting of its Western European representatives scheduled to open here tomorrow. The League is attempting to present an image of moderation and to dissociate itself from terrorist acts. Arab League sources said today that the sessions tomorrow and Thursday would be devoted to the planning of information and public relations activities generally.
It will bring together the League’s representatives from London, Paris, Bonn, Rome, Brussels and Amsterdam. Some have already arrived. The Arab League’s Secretary General, the former Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohammed Riad, arrived today and was met at the airport by an official of the protocol department. Foreign Office sources said that no meeting has been arranged for Riad at the Foreign Office.
