A single Arab Legionnaire has confessed that he crossed the Israel-Jordan border in the Latrun area Friday and killed two Israeli soldiers, the United Nations truce supervision organization has been told by Jordanian officials.
An Israel military spokesman, announcing this report from the UN staff, noted that Israeli investigators on the scene of the attack found the footsteps of four persons. The investigators, who established that one Israeli was killed by a hand grenade and the other by bullets, said that the Jordanian invaders had apparently tried to hide the bodies.
