Musa Elalami, Palestinian Arab, former as sistant government advocate and recentlly one of High Commissioner sir Arthur Grenfell Wauchope’s private secretarles, has been appointed government advocate for Palestine in place of the late Layman Farr Elliott, it was announced here today.

Elliott, who secured the conviction of three members of the Arab Executive in connection with the riots of last October, was run down and severely injured by an automobile on December 5. He died in a hospital later. The Moslem Negro driver was later convicted of mansiaughter.In reply to a question in the House of Commons from Colonel Josiah Wedgwood on this first appointment of a non-Englishman to this post, Maicolm MacDonald, parliamentary secretary for Dominions, said that Elalami was appointed not because of his relationship to anyone, but because (Continued on page Eight)
