Sentiment in favor of acceptance of Great Britain’s proposed legislature for Palestine dominated the session of the Arab National Council, which, however, reached no conclusion in plenary sessions this evening and afternoon, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency learns. The discussion on the proposed legislature has been continued to Wednesday.
The Arab Council will insist on an increase in the number of legislators in the proposed body, according to information given the Jewish Telegraphic Agency. This is chiefly for the reason that the Arabs do not wish it to appear that they will accept in 1930 virtually the same offer of legislature that they refused in 1922.
